Had to use Plains when we were road-tripping and unfortunately smucked a Deer that totaled our vechilein the middle of NO WHERE. Our Driver Adrian brought us back to Belle Fourche and took us to our hotel. The staff was very kind and polite - they even gifted us free tickets to the Rodeo! Our truck blew a head gasket in the middle of nowhere (Union Center) The truck arrived in a timely manner and Adrian the tow operator was professional and friendly. Adrian towed our truck and camper in a safe manner and got us to our destination. We requested a heavy wrecker for an approximately 7 mile haul in Rapid City, SD. I spoke with a Plains Towing dispatcher named Nicole at 2 pm. Nicole told me they would be there an hour and half later. The wrecker showed up two hours later. I was charged over $100 more than what I was originally told. When I asked why we were charged more, Nicole told me the “drive line was pulled after hours” and it was “cold outside.” The truck was dropped off at Peterbilt at just after 5 pm. A local competitor to Plain Towing in Rapid City called me back after they completed their other job and asked if I still needed help. Amazing service today! Headed back from a run in our own tow truck (yep, even we have bad days and need help from time to time) when my fuel lines started to gel up. The mechanic, Rich, went above and beyond today to get us back on the road. They were fair with the pricing and fast with the excellent service provided, getting us headed home safely in a timely manner. From one tow company to another, excellent service today.
